Laurens Group founder and CEO Wesley Donehue authored a commentary piece for the Post & Courier highlighting how our state government structure fails the people. In a time where businesses and traditional family values are under attack, we need typical working South Carolinians serving in the Legislature to stand up for the majority.
As Donehue writes, “Unfortunately, typical working South Carolinians like [Con] Chellis find it incredibly difficult to serve under our current system, one that is inherently biased toward those with excess time and money. Normal South Carolinians simply do not have the available time or wealth to serve in our state’s General Assembly.”
